The MetaPhysica Team

Founder & Registered Massage Therapist

Nancy Griffenham, RMT
Founder of MetaPhysica | Downtown Oakville

Compassionate care. Clinical expertise. Genuine connection.

Nancy Griffenham is a Registered Massage Therapist and the founder of MetaPhysica in downtown Oakville. Her approach to care is rooted in compassion, evidence-informed practice, and an unwavering commitment to helping clients find relief, restoration, and balance.

A graduate of both the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy (CCMH, 2015) and the Ontario College of Health & Technology (OCHT, 2019), Nancy has extensive experience in diverse clinical and spa environments — including Massage Addict, Lifemark, Quality Care Sport Injury & Rehab, New Age Physiotherapy at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, and Miraj Hammam Spa in Toronto.

Nancy provides both therapeutic and relaxation treatments for:

  • Postural pain and musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions

  • Stress, anxiety, and trauma-related tension

  • Chronic pain management

  • Post-COVID rehabilitation

She is certified in Trauma-Informed Care, Post-COVID Rehabilitation, and Mental Health First Aid, bringing a holistic and inclusive perspective to every treatment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nancy remained committed to client wellbeing — continuing to provide safe, regulated care when it was needed most.

Healing has always been a part of Nancy’s life. Raised in Toronto by parents who blended Eastern and Western healing philosophies, she was introduced early to massage, acupressure, and hydrotherapy.

Her formative co-op placements — at Toronto Rehab Hospital, Hincks-Dellcrest Centre, and Covenant House (providing treatments for at-risk youth) — deepened her appreciation for individuals living with disability, trauma, and mental health challenges. Helping others find relief, even in small ways, remains one of the most meaningful aspects of her work.

Outside of practice, Nancy finds peace in art and nature — snowshoeing in Deep River, paddleboarding on the Ottawa River, or spending time with her family across three generations of women.

Influenced by the writings of Jean Vanier, she reflects often on compassion, humanity, and the pursuit of a “state of flow.” Nancy continues to expand her skills through ongoing study in Pain Science, DermoNeuroModulation (DNM) and Biofeedback Therapy, further enhancing her integrative approach to wellness.

Nancy is available for booking Monday through Friday 11am-7pm

Introducing… Taras Zaremba, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist | MetaPhysica, Downtown Oakville

Massage has been Taras’ passion since he was 18, when he was an active member of a running club and began using short massage techniques and contrast hydrotherapy to help fellow runners recover more quickly and effectively after intense training sessions.

After earning his degree from Ternopil Pedagogical University in Ukraine, Taras spent 13 years teaching geography and history in high school — a career that honed his patience, communication, and care for others.

Upon immigrating to Canada, Taras chose to follow his long-held passion for healing through touch. After graduating from Medix College in North York and becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, he began actively practicing in a variety of clinical and wellness settings.

In his massage therapy practice, Taras works closely with each client to reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, and ease stress associated with everyday life. He skillfully integrates Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Deep Tissue techniques with general Relaxation and Wellness approaches — always tailoring each treatment to meet the client’s unique goals and needs.

Taras’ thoughtful, grounded approach and genuine care for his clients make him a valued part of the MetaPhysica team.

Taras is available for booking Wednesdays and Fridays 11am-7pm
